Made up of Greg Brownderville and Spencer Kenney, Beekeeper Spaceman merges elements of electropop and indie rock. This self-titled debut release moves listeners with its poetic lyrics, memorable melodies, and evocative production and instrumentation.

The record grew out of an experimental narrative series called Fire Bones (available at www.firebones.org). In Fire Bones the music of Beekeeper Spaceman combines with videos, podcasts, visual art, and poetry to tell the story of a female crop-duster’s mysterious disappearance from the fictional town of Thisaway. While this record is a self-contained work, listeners familiar with Fire Bones will hear how the songs partake of a larger narrative universe.

Brownderville is the lead singer of Beekeeper Spaceman; the creator of Fire Bones; the author of three books of poetry; and the co-creator (with composer Jacob Cooper) of Ripple the Sky, a concert piece originally commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

A multi-instrumentalist and producer, Kenney helped fashion the sonic world of Fire Bones and is involved with a variety of acts on the Dolfin Records label, as well as fronting a solo project under his name.

Beekeeper Spaceman is based in Dallas.
