Halls of the Machine has been working hard to produce several new projects since the release of "All Tribal Dignitaries." Starting with the Double-Disc - Vinyl Debut, and Re-Release of their first album “Atmospheres for Lovers and Sleepers.” Celebrating 25 Years of HOTM - Featuring 2 New Bonus Tracks! *Johnny and Santo’s 1959 smash, Sleep Walk, and Perpetual Moment by our one and only Van Eric Martin.
*Atmospheres for Lovers and Sleepers was originally written and recorded in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX. Recorded by Ray Sanchiz, Martin Baird, Van Eric Martin, and HOTM. Produced and Mixed by Van Eric Martin and HOTM. Mastered by Howie Weinberg.
“I had just started touring with Richard Thompson, June of '99, and most of "Atmospheres..." had already been completed save a few minor mix and mastering details. I hadn't really had a chance to listen to the record in full so every night on the overnight rides across the country, I'd listen to Atmospheres for Lovers and Sleepers before going to sleep. What started as listening with scrutiny to see how the music sounded on different formats, or find things we might want to adjust, soon became a necessary routine to calm my senses and escape into the music. It remains one of my favorite listening experiences to this day." -MJM
