This album contains Milton Nascimento’s “Ponta de Areia”. When the composer heard it, he phoned Eliane to tell her it was the most beautiful version of his tune that he had ever heard and that it brought him to tears upon hearing Eliane’s daughter, Amanda, at age 8, singing the melody with such beauty and emotion.

This is an extremely feel good album and features four songs with the legendary Brazilian pop star, Gilberto Gil. Great covers of some Gil classics as well as Brazilian grooves on such jazz standards as “Stay Cool”, “Take Five” and a smoldering version of the title track, “Light my Fire”. Her composition, “Bate Bate” was nominated for a Grammy for best composition.
