In 2007 my wonderful label in Japan, Pony Canyon, flew me all the way out to Tokyo for a 48 hour whirlwind performance for a fashion show concert weekend to showcase my new Robo-Sapiens Malibu album. Closest I ever came to being a DJ without turntables. The Japanese EDM crowd seemed to really enjoy themselves and it was a great opportunity to lose myself for the night in another one of my non-power pop alter egos.

In 2008 Roland Musical Instrument Co. Japan invited me to be a featured performing artist at their NAMM private concert series. As you’ll see from the footage this “typically stuffy and usually reserved” corporate audience couldn’t have been more welcoming and enthusiastic towards me and my bandmates. Japan never disappoints.
