Alan Dean Foster - Past Present & Future - A documentary about one of Science Fiction’s greatest authors! Help us make this documentary and get involved!
Alan Dean Foster was George Lucas’s ghostwriter on the original Star Wars book and wrote the first true sequel, Splinter Of The Mind’s Eye, as well as returning to write subsequent Star Wars adventures and Alien adventures, including the book versions of recent works by JJ Abrams. He has written the novel versions for many other major motion pictures, including the first three Alien films, The Chronicles of Riddick, Terminator:Salvation, as well as writing the story for the original Star Trek movie and the book versions of the first two Transformer films.
After a lifetime of being the guy behind the curtain he is sharing his life with British filmmaker Simon Weitzman, the author of the original short story that led to the movie, Event Horizon. Foster reveals amazing untold stories and personal film clips, as well as tales of encounters with the famous and fascinating.
But, time is of the essence…. The final Star Wars episode 9 comes out at the end of the year and certain contributors to this production have limited periods of time to assign to the production. As such, we want to get the filming of this documentary completed by the end of the summer. We need to get underway as quickly as possible. We also want to hear from fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, Terminator, Transformers, Chronicles Of Riddick and other works. Get in touch and you may well appear. The film is being made by British Film Company, Fan Films Ltd in association with Alan Dean Foster.
We are taking funding contributions for $10, $20, $30, $40 and $50. As a reward contributors will receive a "thank you" video message from Alan and the production, plus behind the scenes access to clips and updates during production. There will also be a production website that will list your name as a supporter of the production. *Contributors giving $50 or more will also get a hand signed thank you card.
Contributions of $100 will gain fans the above, plus access to a special limited space live Q&A podcast with Alan and Simon during the production filming process.
